DiagnosTEX’s dysphagia consultation, including a Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS) report, is the most comprehensive detailed report on dysphagia that you will find in the DFW Metroplex.

Our reports include the medical history, current status, and a full detailed description of the oral phase, pharyngeal phase, and esophageal phase. We assess structure and function as it relates to swallowing including basic cranial nerve function. If applicable, and the patient can tolerate, we evaluate numerous compensatory strategies and facilitative techniques to assist with safe oral feeding.

The results of the MBSS, based directly on the pathology of the dysphagia, and all patient information is taken into consideration as we provide diet and treatment recommendations. Exceptionally detailed typed speech pathologist and physician evaluation reports are completed on site the day of the MBSS. All facilities receive the original copy of both reports with a copy of the digital audio and visual recording of the MBSS.

With DiagnosTEX you get a dysphagia consultation not just an MBSS.
